Downtime and what to expect
A wound-healing dressing must be worn for approximately 1–2 weeks after treatment. Redness remaining after dressing removal gradually fades over several months.
Aftercare (clinic instructions)
- Keep the wound-healing dressing applied after treatment in place for at least 1 week. Replace it only if excessive wound fluid leaks beyond the dressing. When removing it after 1 week, if redness remains or the area has not fully healed with new skin, apply another dressing for an additional week.
- After removing the dressing, apply sunscreen thoroughly to the treated area to help prevent hyperpigmentation.
- If a scab forms, do not pick or forcibly remove it. Allow it to fall off naturally.
- Avoid alcohol, saunas, swimming pools, and activities that pose an infection risk or generate heat for 1 week after treatment.
