What is ONDA Coolwaves?
ONDA is an Italian (DEKA) microwave device that reduces fat and tightens skin at the same time. On the face it is used for a double chin and lower-face fullness; on the body it treats cellulite and localized fat.
Who is it for?
People with a soft double chin or heavy lower face who want contouring with less pain than InMode FX, and body patients targeting thighs, abdomen, arms or flanks.
How does it work?
Coolwaves microwaves pass through the skin and selectively heat subcutaneous fat cells, which break down and are cleared by the body over several weeks, while the dermis is heated for collagen tightening. The dose is set in kJ by treatment area.

Downtime and what to expect
Treatment causes minimal disruption to daily activities. Bruising or swelling is minimal, allowing you to resume your usual activities on the same day.
Aftercare (clinic instructions)
- Warmth, redness, skin tightness, swelling, or dryness may occur after treatment. These are normal reactions to the heat generated by microwave energy in the dermis.
- Your skin may feel tighter immediately after treatment. Improvements in firmness and elasticity develop gradually as collagen regeneration progresses.
- Your skin may temporarily become sensitive. Avoid scrubs, exfoliating treatments, and vigorous massage after treatment.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, alcohol, and strenuous exercise for 1 week.
- Keeping your skin moisturized, using skin repair cream, and following the recommended treatment intervals are important for maintaining results.
How many sessions and how often?
Depending on the treatment goals, at least 3 sessions spaced 1 month apart are generally recommended.
Planning it into a Seoul trip
It can be done on any day of your trip. Numbing cream, when used, adds about 30 minutes; plan 20–40 minutes depending on the area plus consultation. See the first-day / last-day guide.
